A Shout Out to Our Volunteers

We’ve had some great volunteers in the past few weeks here at RHFH.  Old friends, new friends, even friends of friends.  Servants unafraid of getting their hands dirty in order to help.

The hours, days, weeks, months….they rush by so quickly here in Cazale.  A volunteer arrives, we blink, and it’s time for that volunteer to depart.  It’s crazy.  In the whirlwind, we oftentimes don’t even get a photo snapped of them.  We always have great intentions of being fantastic hostesses and spending quality time with these dear volunteers….and then something always happens.  A crises occurs.  A never-ending list of to-do’s.  One person after another lines up at the door with a question or a problem.  That’s how is it always unravels.  Nearly every night,  as we army-crawl ourselves into bed, we shake our heads and think, “Where DID today go?!”

We want to give a little shout out to all of the fantastic RHFH volunteers.  We love you all.  We appreciate you all.  You are a blessing to us and to the people that RHFH serves.  We hope God grew you through your time here and revealed Himself to you in a special way.  But most of all, we hope you saw the love of Jesus being shown here, through word and deed.

So without any further ado, here are a few photos we’ve snapped of some of our volunteers from the past few weeks:

Holly & Tena with Christina, their sponsored child at the Rescue Center.

Betty worked with several of the babies in the ICU, cuddling and comforting them in the absence of their mommas.

Becky jumped in and helped wherever needed, including doing physical therapy with kids, sorting pills, and packing boxes for the Food Box distribution.

Allison put her nursing skills to use by giving lots of shots.  She learned quickly to keep candy in her pocket to give out after giving those shots.

Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
