POUCHY

He is 7 years old and weighs 28 1/2 pounds.  He was in our outpatient feeding program and increasing got worse.  He papa brought him and asked if we could try inpatient care.  He had another child that was in the Rescue Center a few years ago that is doing well now.  He has 3 living siblings and none that have died.  The family of 6 lives in a 2 room home made of sticks, mud and tin.  They do not have running water at their home or a flush toilet, not even an out house.  They get their water from a source that is about a 15 minute walk from their home.  The family farms their land and grows corn and grains.  This is the 3rd time he has been through a time of kwashiorkor.  His papa tells us this is the worst case.  He feet had several places that were leaking water due to the amount of swelling.  He was started on the F-75 milk and then graduated to the medika mamba program.
