Urgent need for Clinic patient of the month-Sondy

Sondy has been following in our clinic for a few months.  He was very sick and also showing signs of malnutrition.   The family said they had no money and borrowed money to pay for transportation to come to the clinic and asked us to admit him into our inpatient care facility.  We admitted him in late October.   He was better some days and then worse with out much good progress.  His parents came often to visit to check on him and we both decided that he needed to go to a hospital for treatment in Port as his condition was more serious and difficult than what we could provide care for here in Cazale.   He has been in Bernard Mevs Hospital since Nov 31.  He had a clot in his portal vein and has been receiving treatment from their excellent staff.  His stomach was extremely swollen. (as you can see in the picture below)  He was very sick for several weeks but is getting better and is even smiling now. We have heard that his stomach is almost back to normal!  We are so happy that he was able to be admitted to the hospital when we know that their beds are always full and they are very busy each day.

We would like to be able to cover the cost for his stay at the hospital, medications and transportation.  We fully believe that he would not have lived if the hospital would not have been able to admit and help him.  Would you be willing to help out with the cost of Sondy’s care?Sondy Nov (3) (533x800)
