The Rescue Center currently houses 30 to 35 children at a time. The RC is divided into two main areas.  The Intensive care area and the step down nutrition center.

The intensive care area is a place where the children go when they are  first admitted.  This is where they receive the most intensive care during their stay.  They are monitored 24/7 by doctors and nurses on staff.  This is the most critical time of their stay. Parents are welcome to stay with their children during this time.  We also have nannies on staff to help those that are ill.

The step down nutrition area is a bigger area where the kids go to finish their recover to reach their goal weight. There is a play room for them and nannies that help with those that are behind in development. Many children can be over a year old and are not able to walk or sit up on their own yet. We work with them to get them caught up as best as we can before they return home. These children are also see weekly by a doctor and have head to toe checks once a month. All the children are weighed weekly and height and arm circumference done once a month.
