Reforestation efforts are organized and implemented by the community development group (GVADK).  We have two general types of trees – fruit trees and forest trees.  We plant the forest trees on mountainous areas that are at risk of erosion.  We collect local seeds to reproduce native trees.  The fruit trees are given to farmers and land owners to provide food and extra income.  The fruit trees that GVADK can produce are mango, avocado, lime, orange, grapefruit, coconut, palm, coffee, breadfruit, and soursop.

Though these trees are intended for the Cazale area, GVADK would be happy to prepare trees for other organizations for a small fee.  Please contact Lori for more information.
