G.V.A.D.K is still working each week in the community here in Cazale. We have been replanting trees from sacks to buckets for the past month.
drilling holes in the bottom of buckets for drainage
getting compost and dirt ready to mix
The group was able to transplant 120 trees this day into buckets
Once they get taller we will transplant them into the ground. They have a much better chance if they are bigger and stronger to grow. There are lots of hungry goats, cows, and horses that love to munch on the little trees.
We are also planting bamboo it different areas for soil erosion. It is a new experience that the group and especially Charles in enjoying.
A little visitor we found while planting
