Since we first came to Cazale in 1998, Sormise has been coming to our clinic.  She was a good friend to my mom.  She always took the time to pray for  us when she passed through the clinic.  She loved us and we loved her.  Several years ago when we started our food box program she was suggested to us by our employees and the local churches that she was in need of help in this area.  She has been on our food box program since the first day.  Each times she comes to get food she asks to see a staff member.  Each and every time she holds the staff member by both of the hands and prays for them and then thanks them for helping her.  Every single time she tells me that she prays for us every single day.  That means so much to RHFH and our staff.   In the last few months she has become very ill.  Yesterday she came to the clinic and was vomiting blood and her hmg was down to 3.5 (very, very low).  We rented a tap-tap and sent her into Port to try and find a hospital.  Many places were full and the only place that would take her was general hospital.  She needed a blood transfusion, which to make a long story short is not easy to do here in Haiti.

Sormise died last night.  Her family was trying to get blood for her when she passed away.  She is currently in the morgue at general hospital.  We are working right now to try and get her body released and back here to Cazale for burial.  If we do not get this done today her family will not be able to bury her here in Cazale.  She will be buried in a mass grave or cremated.  We need to purchase a casket, get paper work done to travel with the body in the casket to Cazale and pay a tap-tap to do this today.  The cost to do all of this for sweet Sormise is $812.50.  If you can donate for this special need today we would greatly appreciate it.  If you cannot give, pray that God will meet this need today.  Pray for her family.  You can use the paypal button on the right hand side of the blog or send a donation into our home office-Real Hope for Haiti,/P.O.
