We are closely watching Tropical Storm Emily. We know it is just a tropical storm but we have lived through a flood in our area before. So we are watching, waiting and praying. We know that God can turn the storm, He has done it before. Most of the mission building are located in the valley of Cazale right beside the river. The cholera house is located up on a hill so we are worried about wind there. We are filling up container for water and have sent supplies up for several days to the cholera house. Even a 4X4 vehicle cannot make it up the dirt path when it is raining. We would appreciate your prayer for Haiti and the DR today.
There has been $793.00 given towards the $1500.00 matching grant. We only need $707.00 more to reach the goal for the matching grant. Once that is met we will only need a little over $5000 to reach our goal of $13000 fro Lori to jump out of a plane.

August 3, 2011 at 8:36 pmI know many many dominicans, me included, who would rather have Emily hit our side of the island and spare Haiti. Praying for all those in our little island.

August 4, 2011 at 12:59 pmI just read that the area north of Port-au-Prince got 5″ of rain and that a “cholera treatment center” was damaged. I hope and pray this isn’t your place they were talking about. I am praying hard for you guys. Go away Emily!
