Update of cholera funds

RHFH received $3750 worth of powdered bleach this week.  It was all a donation we pay $0.00 for it.  We use this at the cholera house.  It is a HUGE blessing!  We are so thankful!

I went up one night last week to the cholera house and found someone sleeping in a wheelbarrow.  He thought that was better than the ground.

At night you use headlamp and lanterns to start IV’s

Many, many people recover and return home to there families.

Some cannot get here fast enough

While others place in Haiti are decreasing in numbers we seem to be staying in the 70 – 80 each night at bed count.

This week we have a team of 12 here.  All in the medical profession.  They are working 12 hour shifts and giving our staff a little vacation.  Such a blessing to us! They arrived in Haiti at 4pm yesterday afternoon, got to Cazale at 6 and we working by 630.

We are getting excited about the possibility of building a new place for our cholera patients.  We have been doing all we can with what we have to care for so many.  Just looking at the plans for a new place brings such joy to our hearts.  We want a nice facility to care for those that are sick.  We want to have enough beds for everyone.  We want everyone to be well taken care of.  We know the Lord knows our hearts and we 100% believe that He is going to get this facility built soon.

Lori is still planning to jump out of a plane this Thursday IF we can get the remaining funds to reach the goal of $13,000 to jump start the fund raising  the  new cholera center.  We only lack $2133.oo to reach the goal.  Every.little.bit.counts.  We thank each of you so much for praying with us, for us, for giving, and for believing in us.  To God be all the Glory!
