Dr Jen has been helping Heartline, Dr. Coffee and RHFH with purchasing much needed medications and supplies this past year. It has been a great help to RHFH to be able to get many meds that cannot be purchased here in Haiti. We were especially grateful during the months when we were in need of lots of items for the cholera house. We were very, very low on supplies and the number of patients kept going up. Dr Jen and Haiti Mission Project took care of this need for us. We are so thankful to each of you that gave during that time when we were trying to pull together resources to help as many people as we could.
Dr. Jen orders and purchases these meds on behalf of us here in Haiti. She then organizes them and packs everything up to come down to Haiti. Some times she brings the items in when she visits and sometimes she finds others like, Healing Haiti teams, that are traveling to Haiti to hand carry them in for us. It is such a blessing that she does this for everyone.
Currently Dr. Jen is planning another purchase of meds for the coming months for us. These meds and supplies will be a great help to many, many people here in Haiti. Not just to those here in Cazale, but also the women’s program at Heartline and the countless number of people the Dr coffee takes care of at General Hospital. Your donation will be put to good use in helping those that are in great need here in Haiti.
I remember one time when Lori was gone and I had a really sick child that I was trying to take care of. I did not know what to do and called Dr Jen to see if she had any advice. She made some suggestions of meds to give to the child. She had been here and put away meds that she had just brought in. She told me where to go in on the clinic shelves to find the meds that she had just brought. We were able to treat the child and they recovered. She has the knowledge of many medication that are lifesaving to so many sick kids in the RC.
She will again be collecting donations through Haiti Mission Project, a 501(c)(3) based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. All donations are tax deductible and tax receipts are sent out at the end of the year. To donate by Paypal, go HERE and click on the 2nd yellow donate button (this will specify your donations to be used for medications). You may also donate by check (information and address is on this page). If you donate by check, please write “medications for Haiti” in the memo section.
