GENE

Gene has  2 other siblings that have been in the RC before.  There names were Tirete and Amonise.  Their mother are father are both dead and the older sister is raising all the kids by herself.  Gene is in the beginning stages of kwashiorkor and had a high fever when he was admitted.

 YVANIA

Her mom died a few months ago.  She was 3 months old and weighed 5 pounds.  She was suffering from kwashiorkor and a fever. She only lived a few hours with us before she died.

NADIA

 She is 19 months old and weighs 16 pounds.  Nadia has 2 living siblings at home and has one that has died. 

NATHALIE

This is her oldest sister in the picture with her.  They came to clinic one day last week. Nathalie’s mom was very sick.   The mom died in the clinic yard while Nathalie was inside being seen by the nurse.  Her older sister below is in school in Port-au-Prince.  She has gone far in her school and her family is proud of her.  Being the oldest she has a lot of responsibilities now that her mom is dead.  She cried and cried when she knew her mom died.  She just does not know what to do, she cannot care for her youngest new sister and continue school.  She asked if we could keep her in the rescue center.  There are 9 other kids besides Nathalie.  She is 1 month old and weighs 5 pounds.

MAIJORIE

She is 10 months old and weighs 9 pounds.  She has diar, vomiting, fever and a cold.  She is the only girl with 4 brothers in her family.  There are 3 siblings that have died.  She is not doing well and needs your prayers.

 MARCKENLY

He is 15 months old and weighs 10 pounds.  He has 3 other siblings at home.  He cannot sit, roll over or move around much.  He needs constant care.  His mom is trying to work and take care of him at the same time.  It has been hard.

  MILOTHER

He is 24 months old and weighs 21 pounds.  This is his first time with kwashiorkor.  He has 2 siblings at home and 1 that has died.  

 FEDNAICA

She is 15 months old and weighs 13  pounds.  We found out that she is HIV + as well as her parents.  She is not doing well and is a very sick little girl.
