We are SUPER excited to announce the opportunity for a $25,000 matching funds grant for the CHOLERA TREATMENT CENTER (CTC) construction. You can help turn $25,000 into $50,000!! For every dollar you give, a generous donor will match that dollar – up to $25,000!
This will help us continue building the cholera treatment center to ensure vital medical care and education for thousands in the future years. Since Nov 2010, we’ve served 6529 patients. Just this week, we had a pregnant lady that was rushed in. As the nurse was working quickly to put in the IV, the woman’s water broke and she had a baby girl. She was so sick and semi-comatose that she couldn’t even tell anyone that she was in labor. The baby was born and her airway cleared. The nurse placed the IV in the mom and opened it wide. They recovered and both are doing well. The whole family was so happy that our doors were open and that they were able to get the care that they needed. Please consider helping us to continue providing this type of care to those in the Cazale area.

Here are some current photos. This is the admissions building from the side view.
Here is the same building from the front. The entries off of the porch (left to right) are for the reception/admission, ER, and education area.
This is the area between the two wards. The photo is taken from the area between the bathrooms and showers.
This is one of the shower areas. Walls will go up after the floors in these buildings are dry.
This is one of the wards and it will house 25 patients. The nurses’ station is at the other end (behind where Carmelo is standing). The disinfection room is behind the person taking the photo.
Please help us get these roofs on so that we can continue to care for those with cholera. These mountains are full of thousands of people that we have treated. There are sure to be thousands more. We want to make sure that our doors stay open to help them avoid death, heal, and avoid further contamination.
Consider what you can give to helping those with cholera survive and be educated. Remember every dollar that you give will be matched!! Your donation will be doubled and help us come closer to completing construction. You can send a check made out to RHFH (write “Matching funds for CTC construction” in the memo) to RHFH, PO Box 23, Elwood, IN 46036. You can also use the paypal button below. If you use the paypal button in the upper right hand corner of the blog, please include “cholera hospital construction” in the special instruction box to make sure it gets matched. THANK YOU!!!!
Help us get closer to our goal!
