Trusted organizations that could use financial help for hurricane relief

We have been humbled by the outpouring of genuine love and effective prayer by so many. Grateful we are all safe and sound and our village did not endure significant damage. Thankful for a staff of dedicated Haitians that didn’t hesitate to come to work and care for those children in our acute malnutrition inpatient program and cholera hospital. We will spend the day returning our cholera patients to the cholera treatment center, cleaning up, and plan to reopen our outpatient clinic tomorrow morning.

Mixed with joy and relief is an ache for those in parts of Haiti that received the brunt of Hurricane Matthew. Please continue to pray for these people and the country of Haiti. With so many crops being decimated, there is a real concern regarding food supply/ prices in the months to come.

We know many of you would like to donate to help with the needs of those most affected by hurricane Matthew. We would like to list those that we know here in Haiti that are in need of help or are helping those most affected.  Please consider helping these organizations below.  If you are unable to help financial please pray for them as these next weeks and months to come will be hard for all involved.

Don’t forget the amazing Canadian organization of doctors that have been helping Haitians since the earthquake of 2010, called Broken Earth at http://www.brokenearth.ca

Please consider helping those on the Island of La Gonave. I served with this group on a mission trip in April earlier this year, and they are awesome. They will use your money wisely and responsibly, and there is currently a fund specifically set up for hurricane relief. Their admin expenses are less than 1% of the total funds raised, as they are an all volunteer organization. Therefore, 99 cents of every dollar goes directly to the relief efforts in Haiti. They are also a 501(c)3 organization which means your donations are tax deductible for US tax purposes. https://lagonavepartners.kindful.com

Please add Village Partners International to your list. 20 years of service in Haiti, annual medical mission trips, support a local hospital, provide nutritional resuscitation and medications, currently fundraising for well construction and cholera preventing latrines

I am looking to bring a group of volunteers to Haiti to help with the relief efforts. Can you recommend an organization looking for volunteers at this time?
