Throw back Thursday

A. and her mom were injured in the Earthquake in 2010. A. lost part of her arm after they were trapped in their home for several days. They were rescued and taken to the Comfort ship that was here helping with injuries. There were several organizations that were receiving patients from the Comfort Ship to help with recovery after surgeries. A and her mom were 2 of many that received care at RHFH.

They remained with us for several months during their healing process. The whole neighbor hood where she lived was destroyed. Through generous donations from many donors she was able to rebuild a home for her and her daughter.

We are thankful that A. and her mom survived and we have been able to see her grow up. She is in our school sponsorship program and wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
