Words from Gretchen August 1994

This morning I was reading my Bible and came upon the scripture in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” I began thinking of all my young friends. We miss all of you so much. We think of your smiling faces. We remember having so much fun and joy worshipping God with you and teaching you out of His Word. God is so good to give us the Bible so we can know how to live in this world. Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!

It is close to the time for school to begin again. Some children don’t like going back and others are bored and ready to return. We hope and pray you are all blessed with your school work, teachers, and friendships this coming year. Do your best! Timothy 1:12 says, “Let no one despise or think less of you because of your youth, but be an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love in faith and in purity.” When you do return to school, take the Lord with you and make Him the center of all you do. Talk to Him everyday. Seek His help in hard times. Do your best for Him. Remember John 3:16 – He gave His best for you! Have a good year. Send us a school picture when you get them, so we can see how you’re growing. Love in the precious name of Jesus ~Gretchen
