Hope Family Spotlight~Marie Ange

We have known Marie Ange for many years. She has been in the Rescue Center several times over the last 9 years. Each time her recovery has been more and more difficult for her. In 2019 she was very near death after another time of malnutrition. After this she was placed in a Hope family. She has done well and is very excited to attend school.

Marie Ange in in her second year of kindergarten (there are 3 years here). She has dreamed of going to school for several years. She was not able to attend and would watch all the children going to school while she had to stay and carry water during the day. When she is home she likes to wash dishes and sweep the yard. She also enjoys attending the local Nazarene Church here in Cazale. When she grows up she would like to be a doctor. She enjoys playing tag and jumping rope with her friends.

Marie Ange loves to eat. Her favorite food is rice with beans sauce. She also loves fish. Her family enjoys having her with them. She loves to talk and ask interesting questions. She also likes to learn new things. She really wants to cook but her mama says she is still to young. Her family is glad that she is with them and has remained healthy for several years. This is important to them as they saw how ill she was and do not want her to get to that state again. It is important for them to help those in need. It is important that the children go to school and feel loved. When I asked if there was anything she needed, Marie Ange said she needs a new mattress for her bed.
