It is a blessing for me to be able to share with you about my involvement with RHFH. I first became aware of RHFH in 2010 after the earthquake. I was helping another NGO with needs from the earthquake. One day we went to visit RHFH. We saw the clinic, the rescue center, and their ICU. One small child in the ICU looked like he was almost ready to pass on. The local nurse caring for him was doing everything she could for him.

The rescue center is a great place where malnourished children can receive medika mamba and nourishing food that will enable them to grow and heal and return to their families. It is a place where many children have had their lives saved from sickness and starvation.

The monthly sponsorship program is another great blessing. I can sponsor a child and know that I am making a difference for that child and his family. I cannot be physically in Haiti; however, I can work here to send money to help save lives there.  I can receive information on the child I am sponsoring; that helps me better pray for the child and his family.

Another way that we here in North America can help is by preparing kits such as birthing kits and layette bundles. Birthing kits help mothers have a safer birth experience and help save lives. I can prepare some here and send them to Haiti.

Reading their blogs and posts helps us know about the current needs and situations that RHFH is experiencing. We can better pray for the needs. In this way we can lift up their arms so they remain strong in the daily fight. With all of us working together here and in Haiti God can work and we can make a difference. Let us never give up.
