Right now we are in a dry season here in Cazale. Each dry season the community comes together to dig out the irrigation canals and make repairs. This year they began a little earlier than normal and water was flowing for the farmers in at the beginning of the year.
Many of the beans fields are planted under banana trees that provide a bit of shade. Each day farmers take turns watering their plots of land. They grow black, white, lima, and a few others kinds. If they have a good crop it can provide food and income for the families for several months. We are happy that the bean season is going well so far here in Cazale.
