Staff Spotlight~Roseline

Since June 2021, Roseline has been an important member of our team at RHFH. Her primary role is to wash the clothing (along with other ladies), diapers, and sheets for the 40 children currently in our care. She has four children of her own and lives in a one-room rented home, she works hard to provide for her family. Roseline’s mother passed away, but her father is still with her, as are eight sisters and four brothers. We appreciate Roseline’s dedication to her job and her family.

Four days a week, she wakes up early and gathers large wash basins. She then walks about a fourth of a mile, carrying the dirty clothing on her head, to an enclosed yard where she separates the laundry and begins washing. After washing and wringing out the clothing, she hangs them on the lines. Once the wash is finished, she heads home to make food for her children. In the late afternoon, she returns to the yard, takes down the laundry, and puts everything away for the next day.

Roseline is extremely grateful for the work she does, as it allows her to provide for her children and support her neighbors who are sometimes in need of food. She enjoys living in the area of Cazale, and is especially happy about the presence of the river in the village. However, she believes that Cazale could benefit from improved access to electricity and better roads. She is happy that RHFH is located in the area, as the clinic provides vital support to many individuals, particularly children. She is thankful that the clinic is available to assist with medical emergencies.

Roseline is a christian and attends church in Cazale. She wants people to pray for her that God will continue to change her life. She wants to have more compassion for those in need. She wants to love and understand people well.
