04 Chant d’Espérance
CEF, Page 123
Jezi, lese m mache ak ou,
Mwen byen kontan pou m sèvi ou;
Fè mwen konnen ki plan ou genyen
Pou m pa chaje tèt mwen pou demen.
Mwen vle ede lòt moun ki pè
Avèk bon Pawòl ou ; Senyè;
Gade m tout tan nan bon chemen,
E kondui mwen jiska lafen.
Fè m gen plis pasyans tankou ou,
Gade m tou pre ou toulejou
Pou m fè travay mwen, ak lafwa
Ak konfyans ou ki bay viktwa,
Nan espwa ou ki kon solèy,
Klere tout bagay sou latè,
Nan lapè ou sèl ka ban nou,
Lese m viv, Jezi tou pre ou!
O Master, let me walk with Thee
Author: Washington Gladden (1879)
O Master, let me walk with thee
In lowly paths of service free;
Tell me thy secret, help me bear
The strain of toil, the fret of care.
Help me the slow of heart to move
By some clear, winning word of love;
Teach me the wayward feet to stay,
And guide them in the homeward way.
Teach me thy patience; still with thee
In closer, dearer company,
In work that keeps faith sweet and strong,
In trust that triumphs over wrong.
In hope that sends a shining ray
Far down the future’s broad’ning way,
In peace that only thou canst give,
With thee, O Master, let me live.
