My name is Mitcheta, and I have the responsibility of washing the clothing, bedding, and cloth diapers for the children in the Rescue Center. I am a mother of six children, and while my parents have both passed away, I find strength in my family. I have two brothers and two sisters, and we all grew up in Cazale. I live with my children in a house made of cinder block with a tin roof. Though it’s modest, it’s our home, and I’m thankful for it.
Washing the clothing and bedding for the children at the Rescue Center is a task that I take seriously. Cleanliness is so important, especially for the health and well-being of the children we care for. It brings me a sense of pride to know that I am contributing to their recovery and comfort by making sure they have fresh, clean clothes and bedding. There’s nothing like the smell of laundry dried in the sun, and I know that my efforts are helping to prevent illness and create a healthier environment for these little ones.
One thing that we always seem to need more of at the Rescue Center is clotheslines. We have a lot of laundry to hang up every day, and over time, the clotheslines become worn out and sometimes break. It’s a constant challenge to find enough space to dry everything, especially during the rainy season, but we manage. It’s hard work, but I know how important it is for the children.
This job is a blessing for me and my family. The work I do helps me to provide for my children and ensure they have what they need. I’m especially grateful that I can afford to send them to school, which is something that’s very important to me. Education is the key to their future, and I want them to have every opportunity to succeed.
Cazale is the only place I have ever known, and I love living here. The people, the community, and the mountains surrounding us make it a special place. Though the work I do is not easy, it’s something I’ve learned to enjoy. It requires dedication and patience, but knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of these children makes it all worthwhile.
I am a Christian, though I currently don’t attend church regularly. I rely on my faith to guide me through life’s challenges. I would ask that you pray for my children, that they may remain healthy, and that God would continue to bless our family. I hope that through hard work and faith, we can continue to grow and thrive.
