Words from Zach

Accountability

God is the supreme judge of His moral universe, and each on if us are ultimately responsable to God for our choices.

Hebrews 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

Nothing can be hidden from God. He knows about everyone, everywhere, and everything about us is wide open to His all-seeing eyes. God sees and knows all we think. We can have no secrets from God. It is comforting to realize that although God knows us intimately, He still loves us.

Romans 14: 10-12 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written:

As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

Each person is accountable to Christ and not to others. This verse reminds us that we should not judge or look down on others because, in the end, we will all stand before Jesus. He is the one who will judge us, not other people. One day, everyone will bow before God and admit that He is Lord. Each person is responsible for their own actions and choices, and we will all have to explain our lives to God. Instead of focusing on what others are doing wrong, we should make sure we are living in a way that honors Him. Our job is to love, not to judge.

Brings back so many memories. I have known and loved Zach and his family for somewhere around 35 years. His love and character changed my life in so many ways. Respectfully, what the Church needs today is a Davis Zachary “Zach” in every Sunday morning service. Zach, my dearest friend, I deeply love you, and thank you for the multiple lessons you taught me… mostly that love is the “catalyst” of all ministry. Your love for all people is what catapulted RHFH… which has touched millions of lives. Looking to see you soon my brother.
