At Real Hope for Haiti, our work is only possible because of the dedicated staff who serve with compassion and excellence every day. Today, we’re honored to introduce Pharalinda, one of our incredible nurses who plays a vital role in caring for patients.
A Passion for Nursing
Pharainda began working with us in February 2024 and serves as a nurse in the emergency/wound care room. She has always had a heart for helping others, and her love for nursing is evident in everything she does. She enjoys taking care of patients, making sure they are comfortable, and ensuring they receive the best possible treatment.
When asked what she loves most about her job, Pharalinda shared that she finds great joy in caring for sick individuals and being able to help them recover. She appreciates the meaningful impact she has on each patient’s life. While she loves her work, she acknowledges that it comes with challenges. One of the things she would love to see improve is access to more medical supplies and medications to make patient care even better.
Life Beyond Work
Pharalinda is 30 years old and grew up in Cazale, where she continues to live today. She shares her home with her father, mother, and brother. Her family is her greatest support system, and she takes pride in working hard to contribute to their well-being.
When reflecting on a memorable moment at work, Pharalinda recalled a time when a child arrived in a life-threatening condition. The situation was dire, but through the team’s combined efforts, the child’s life was saved. Witnessing such transformations reinforces her belief in the importance of her role as a nurse and the mission of Real Hope for Haiti.
Making a Difference in Cazale
Pharalinda is deeply connected to her hometown and is grateful to work in a place that feels like home. She believes that Cazale needs more resources and better infrastructure to support the community’s needs. She is proud that Real Hope for Haiti plays a crucial role in addressing some of these challenges by providing medical care to those in need.
A Heart for Service
Faith is an important part of Pharalinda’s life. She is a Christian and attends the Baptist church. She is also passionate about encouraging others and wants people to know that Real Hope for Haiti is a place of compassion, healing, and hope. She prays for more people to join in supporting the clinic’s mission so that even more lives can be saved.
Pharalinda is a shining example of the dedication and love that fuels Real Hope for Haiti. Her work is a testament to the impact that one person can have on an entire community. We are so grateful to have her on our team!
