My name is B.K I live with my wife and two children. We ran a small business, and our family lived comfortably—we had enough to eat, our children’s school fees were paid, and we never lacked clothing or basic necessities.
Twice, our community experienced unrest, and soon the situation became too dangerous to stay. Lives were lost, homes were destroyed, and everything we had built was gone. With no other option, we fled to find safety. We sought refuge in Cazale, a place we had visited before and where we had friends who could help us.
When we arrived, our friends welcomed us. They gave us food, clothing, and a place to stay. We were grateful, but it was difficult to adjust. We had never been in a position where we had to rely on others for everything. The stress was overwhelming. We couldn’t attend church because we had no suitable clothes, and our children couldn’t go to school because we had no money.
Then, some neighbors told us about RHFH. We decided to write a letter explaining our situation and asking for help to start a small business again. By God’s grace, the mission responded. They provided financial assistance to help us restart our work, allowing us to sell cosmetics, hygiene products, perfumes, and more.
Thanks to this support, I can now provide for my family. My children are back in school, we have food and clothing, and we no longer have to rely on others to meet our needs. This business has also helped us focus on the future instead of the hardships we left behind.
My family is deeply grateful for the help we have received. Your support has given us the opportunity to rebuild our lives and regain our independence. Thank you for choosing to help us—it means more than words can express.
