My name is Fils-Aimé. I am 44 years old, and for many years, I lived about an hour and a half from the clinic, with my wife, our daughter, and our son. Unfortunately, we had to leave the area and moved to the area of Cazale. This sudden displacement made daily life incredibly difficult. We faced constant insecurity, hunger, and the struggle to find stable work. There were nights when we couldn’t sleep and days when we barely had enough to eat. In my desperation, I sometimes had to beg just to provide for my family. The hardship took a severe toll on my wife, who developed mental health issues. She is now unable to care for herself or our children, leaving me with the full responsibility of our household. Feeling hopeless, I decided to write a letter to the mission, explaining my situation and asking for help to start a small business—something that would allow me to support my family with dignity. I waited patiently for a response, and one day, I received news that changed my life: the mission had decided to help me.
Thanks to their generosity, I was able to start my own business. With this money, I launched a banana-selling venture at the market. I now buy bananas in bulk and resell them in smaller quantities, providing me with a steady income. Today, I no longer have to beg to feed my family, and most importantly, I will be able to send my children to school this year—something that seemed impossible just a few months ago.
I am deeply grateful for the support I have received. Thanks to your kindness, I have regained hope and dignity. You have given me the chance to rebuild my life and care for my loved ones. May God bless each and every one of you who made this possible, and may He grant you prosperity so you can continue helping others in need, just as you have helped me.
