At the nutrition center, every child’s recovery is a reminder of why we do what we do. I’m Mamoune, and I want to share the story of Rose-Carline—a brave little girl who came to us suffering from severe malnutrition.

Rose-Carline lives in Fond-Baptiste, a village 10 hours away from our clinic. When she arrived, her condition was critical. Her body was swollen with edema so severe that her skin was starting to break. She couldn’t take her medication by mouth, so we used a feeding tube and began a treatment plan that included therapeutic milk, Medika Mamba, and three healthy meals a day. She began to improve quickly—thankfully, without any complications. Her mother stayed by her side during her recovery time.

Seeing Rose-Carline regain her health was an incredible joy. When she left, she was smiling, healthy, and strong—a far cry from the sick little girl we first met. Moments like these fill us with hope and remind us just how meaningful this work truly is.
