J.M., a 19-year-old mother, lives alone with her young son. To support them, she sold cosmetics, often traveling long distances to restock her supplies. But one day, everything changed. On a routine trip, she was attacked and they stole all her money—and tragically, they also assaulted her.

Shaken and heartbroken, J.M. came to the clinic for a health check. As tears fell, she shared her story with our team. We knew she needed more than just medical care—she needed hope.

We provided the necessary treatments and encouraged her to create a small business plan. She requested support to restart her business, and care for her son. With your generous support, we were able to meet that need.

Over the next three months, we offered business training and regular follow-ups. J.M. embraced the opportunity with determination, rebuilding her business and earning enough to care for her family—and even repair the leaky roof of her home.

Today, J.M. is doing well. Her business brings her income and, just as importantly, a sense of purpose. She says it helps her heal and move forward.
