Fritzlendo is a four-year-old boy who lives with his parents and sister. One day, his family noticed unusual swelling in several areas of his body, including his face, feet, and genitals. Concerned, they brought him to our clinic. After several tests, we confirmed that the swelling was not due to malnutrition and began further evaluations and treatment.
When his condition didn’t improve, we knew he needed specialized care. With help from donor support, we provided his family with funds to travel to Saint-Damien Hospital in Port-au-Prince for further testing and treatment.
At the hospital, doctors discovered fluid in Fritzlendo’s lungs that was affecting his breathing. He was placed on oxygen for four days until his condition stabilized. A treatment plan was started, and surgery was scheduled to remove the fluid. We assisted with follow-up care and additional hospital expenses.
The surgery was successful, and after several days of monitoring, Fritzlendo was discharged. The swelling subsided, and his lungs were clear.
Today, Fritzlendo is doing well. His father expressed his appreciation, sharing that their family is deeply thankful for the support that made his son’s recovery possible. Your generosity played a key role in making this outcome a reality. Thank you!
