Clinic Story-Juliane

In the quiet isolated village nearly six hours from our clinic in Cazale, lives a devoted father and his six-month-old daughter, Juliane. Life in this remote area is not easy — healthcare is scarce, and every journey to the clinic means a long walk through rough, steep paths.

Juliane’s mother passed away shortly after her birth, leaving her father to raise her alone. Despite the hardship, he has shown unwavering courage and love. Each time Juliane needs her check-up, he rises before four in the morning, carrying her in his arms and walking for hours through the dark. He knows he must arrive early to receive a consultation card, and he never misses a visit. His determination is remarkable — a true example of a parent’s love that never gives up.

Since she could not be breastfed, Juliane’s nutrition depends on what her father can provide at home — mostly porridge and simple foods. But thanks to the infant formula he receives from the clinic, she is growing stronger each month. Today, Juliane ia a healthy weight for her age — a wonderful sign of progress and hope.

For her father, that can of milk represents much more than nourishment. It is a lifeline — a symbol that he is not alone in caring for his daughter. The long walks, the early mornings, the tired steps — all are made lighter by the knowledge that help is waiting at the end of the road.

This November, as we reflect on thankfulness, we are deeply grateful for the donors who make this possible. Because of your compassion, fathers like Juliane’s can continue to care for their children with hope instead of despair. Your generosity reaches far beyond the clinic walls — it touches hearts, strengthens families, and gives life.

Thank you for walking this journey of love and faith with us. 💛
