My name is Dr. Stanley, and I have been working at Real Hope for Haiti since December 2024. I am 35 years old and come from a family of four brothers and one sister. I have one child, a daughter, who is very important to me. Right now, I live alone, but the house I stay in is actually for my parents, and I care for it while they are not there.
I chose this work because I truly enjoy taking care of people. It brings me joy when I can help someone find a solution to their illness and see them begin to feel better. Each morning, I come to the clinic, and we start the day with prayer and a short team meeting. After that, we prepare to receive patients who come seeking help for many different health needs.
Working at the clinic allows me to continue learning and growing in my medical knowledge so that I can help even more people. I especially appreciate this clinic because many patients here do not have the means to get care elsewhere. Being able to provide medications quickly and free of charge makes a real difference in their lives.
At the same time, the work is not easy. I wish our country were in a better situation. Roadblocks and insecurity often make it difficult to receive medical supplies, and that can limit what we are able to do. I also wish there were better roads, electricity, and internet in this area. More security would allow us to work in peace, without fear.
Although I am not originally from Cazale, I enjoy living here. The area is calm, and the people are kind. I am thankful to be part of Real Hope for Haiti. I believe they are doing good and important work, and I am grateful to serve alongside this team.
I am a timid person and a Christian. I ask that you would pray for meāthat I would be more intentional about my life, take my future seriously, and continue to grow both personally and spiritually. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this mission.
