My name is Mathilde, and I am 24 years old. I work with the Hope children at RHFH, and I have been serving here since 2023. I do not have any children of my own yet. I live with my mother and father, and I have two brothers—no sisters. My family means a lot to me.
I truly love the work I do. My favorite part is visiting families in their homes. This is not a job where I sit behind a desk all day working on papers. I travel to different homes, sometimes by motorcycle and sometimes walking long distances. One time, the road was so muddy that the motorcycle slipped and fell while I was on it! Even moments like that become part of the journey.
I also help keep detailed records for each child. We carefully organize documents in both digital files and hard drives to make sure every child’s information is safe and complete.
This work has taught me how to understand people better and how differently everyone lives. It has helped me grow personally and learn how to care for myself while serving others in need. I am excited that this year I began college, studying social work. I want to continue learning so I can serve families even better.
I enjoy living in Cazale, and I am grateful to work at RHFH, where people come from all over the country seeking help when they are sick. The work is not always easy, but it has shaped me in many good ways.
I attend the local Catholic church, and I would appreciate your prayers—for my health and for my family.
