This was my corner of the supply room a few months back. This is all infant formula. We were blessed to receive many donations for several months.
This is the same corner this morning. We are very low on our milk supply. Only one trunk left.
About 1/3 of the children in the RC are babies on infant formula. This is about 20 kids that need formula 24/7 .
RHFH RC offering a unique service to these babies and their parents. Most of these little ones have lost their mama’s in child birth.
Their father work in the fields and gardens. They find it very difficult to find another family member to care for their newborn. They many times would rather place their child in an orphange then risk them dying. This is a hard choice.
We help keep families together by caring for the babies until they are about 18 months old and walking.
This helps them grow bigger and helps papa to be able to work and provide for his other kids. Once they are off if formula they return home to their families.
We also provide formula to HIV + babies and a few that have TB as well.
We have these really cool people that have offered up some matching funds to RHFH. They ask us to pick something that we really needed for the kids.
They are willing to match up to $3000 to our infant formula fund. This is the most urgent need for RHFH RC right now.
Would you be willing to donated towards these precious babies? You can donate through paypal (button on the upper right hand corner)
Or send a donation into our home office. Real Hope For Haiti, P.O. Box 23, Elwood, IN 46036. Include a note or memo stating that it is for infant formula. Let me know (licia@realhopeforhaiti.org) if you are willing to help so that I can keep everyone updated and meet our goal so we can recieve these matching funds!
