Claudette has been with us for several months now.  She was severely burned in late December when her clothes caught on fire.  She is healing and living in the tent with the other intensive care kids.   She has been having a hard time this past week.  Most of it is emotional/mental problems.  She is not doing well.  We have a friend coming in on the 21st of March.  I was thinking that maybe someone could donate or send a portable DVD player for her.  We have DVD’s in the RC and my kids have some that she could watch.  This could take her mind off of her injuries and suffering some and ease her broken heart.  If you are interested please email me at licia@realhopeforhaiti.orgto get the address of our next visitor.

Claudette can walk with someone supporting her for about 6 to 8 feet now before she gets weak.  She can stand for about 5 minutes in one place without assistance.  This is all very mentally draining for her.  She is trying but it is hard.  We are trying to get her to eat well.  She loves meat.  Especially chicken.  You can buy cases of chicken here  for $33US  A case of chicken has about 70 chicken legs in it.  She averages 5 chicken legs a day!  So a case will last her about 15 days.  We are also adding eggs to her diet a few days a week.  1 egg cost 11cents.  She will average 8 eggs a week.  Anyone wanting to donate funds to get some protien into Claudette to help her heal let me know as well.  We know you pray for her and love her just like we do.
