In 2006, a little boy was born to a couple who were elated to have a son. Unfortunately, the baby was born with a double cleft lip and palate, and his father had also been born with a cleft lip that he was never able to fix.

Since the necessary surgery was unavailable in Haiti, we helped arranged a medical visa for the baby to travel to the United States for treatment. After receiving surgery, the child returned to Haiti with his grateful family, and his father was eventually able to undergo surgery as well. Recently, the boy returned for a visit, and it was heartwarming to see him and his family once again.
