So this weekend I took Enoch to my home town of Markleville.  You can see above it is a very small town!  I grew up here and lived in this town until I went to college and then moved to Haiti in 1995.  We owned a small farm with 30 some acres and sold this and EVERYTHING we owned (but a kitchen table) when my parents moved to Haiti (1994).  We bought an Arrow stream trailer (one of those silver bullets) and lived in the during the summers and vacations at college.  Oh the memories.

There were two streams (ditches) on the road we lived on.  We used to go and play in them during the summer vacation every single day.  We would caught little crawdads, fish and frogs.   There were two bridges that went over these streams.  We called them the first and second bridge.  The second bridge was about 3/4 mile away and we only went there maybe once a week.  There was some type of fresh water well (we are standing beside it below).  We would go and drink water right of of it.  It used to flow freely and be much cleaner.  We lived in the country and Enoch really enjoyed seeing where I grew up at as he has heard so many stories from my child hood.

• Dad is still not doing well.  He is planning a trip to the doctor today.  Will you continue to pray for him and pray they can figure out what is wrong with him.  He was unable to go yesterday and speak with us.
• We left our place at 7am and got home last night at 11:30pm.  We spoke at 2 churches that we really love to visit.  We had a great day and really enjoyed ourselves.
• I spoke for about 10 minutes and Enoch spoke for about 15 min.  It was really good.  He did a great job and I believe many enjoyed hearing someone from Haiti speak about their country.
• We are really enjoying ourselves so far.  It is amazing how much less stress you feel away from the work in Haiti.  But I will not lie, I miss it so much.  I have talked to Lori at least once everyday.  She is doing a great job keeping me up to date on all the kids and doing everything there solo with the staff.
• I am 36 years old and this is the first trip that I have had a vehicle to drive!  I usually just tag along with dad.  I had to drive yesterday 2 hours one way to get to the church we were speaking at.  Enoch had the directions and a map.  He has never used a map.  They do not have them in Haiti.  So he loved, loved, loved the map and gave me all the directions to get to where we were going.  We only had one mistake and he told me to turn and I said no I think it is on up a bit,  He was right and I had to turn around and go back.  He loves that there are signs everywhere telling you the names of towns and how far it is to the next town.  Stop lights with arrows, interstates, so many lanes of traffic etc.  I love that guys so much.
• Funny comments from Trey.  As we were getting into the pool to swim (while it was full of people)  He yelled at Henley” Wait!  Do not get in yet we have to talk to mommy. ” Yelling even louder “Mommy!  Can we get in this water or does it have cholera in it!?”  Nice.  ” Mommy there are so many white people here.”  ” Mommy why do we have to eat again people eat so much here” 
• Today we are going to let the kids rest and relax.  Jess and Casey will be coming in at the end of the week.  We have a visit to the zoo planned as well.
• Ameyah is still having a hard time adjusting.  Last night she was still playing hard a 1am.  Her old schedule is so messed up.  She still does not like her car seat!
