For more than 20 years, we have been shipping containers packed with crucial supplies to Haiti, thanks to the unwavering generosity of many of you. These shipments, carefully organized and prepared by faithful individuals and groups, have included a wide array of essential items, from food to medical supplies, toys, clothing, furniture, and even everyday necessities like trash cans. Volunteers have spent countless hours collecting, sorting, and packing these supplies, which have been generously donated or purchased to support the mission. These containers, each filled with thousands of pounds of much-needed resources, have played a vital role in improving the lives of countless families and individuals in Haiti.
The impact of these supplies has been profound, providing not only material goods but also hope and relief to communities facing immense challenges. The medical supplies alone have helped us care for the sick and injured, while the food and clothing have provided comfort and sustenance to those in need. Toys and other gifts for children have brought smiles to young faces, even in the most difficult times.
However, in recent years, we have faced significant barriers due to escalating insecurity and logistical problems in Haiti. These challenges have forced us to temporarily halt shipments, a situation that weighs heavily on our hearts. Knowing how vital these supplies are to the communities we serve, it has been difficult to pause this lifeline, especially as the needs in Haiti continue to grow.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to keep Haiti and its people in their thoughts and prayers. The situation may be complex, but our mission remains clear: to support and uplift those who need it most. We will continue working tirelessly to find a way forward and look forward to the day when those containers are once again on their way to Haiti, bringing relief, comfort, and hope.
Oh course we cannot have a blog post about shipping containers without Zach in it!
