We started the School Sponsorship Program many years ago with three siblings. We recently asked them to share a few words about their experience in the program and the impact it has had on their lives.
I may not be very old, it’s true, but when I think back to my childhood—especially when I first started school—it feels like something that happened a long time ago. I will never stop thanking the organization RHFH, because if I have reached the level of education I have today, it is thanks to you. You were the ones who laid the first foundation stone with me. As the Haitian proverb says: “You must never forget the first drop of rain that made your garden grow.” It is with those words that I take this moment to say a big thank you to RHFH. You saw the need to help me. The help we received when we were young taught us how meaningful it is to help others, and it also showed us that hope keeps you going. That hope motivates us every day to be a light in other people’s lives as well.
Specifically, I, Y.M am now 29 years old and currently living in Brazil. I graduated with a degree in English Literature, and I speak seven languages, all thanks to the solid educational foundation I received from you (RHFH). I will always remember everyone who played a role in my journey from childhood until now, as I’ve become a strong and capable man.
Thank you… “I may be far away, but you always live in my heart.”
— Y.M.
I pray that God will always guide you on the right path and protect every member who is part of this organization.
With deep gratitude,
— T.
I am a young man, 27 years old, currently living in the Dominican Republic. And today, with great joy and an open heart, I am writing this small thank-you message to RHFH and everyone who is part of it. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Life was not easy for me, my older brother, and our little sister—but God put RHFH in our path, and it brought hope and joy into our lives. If it weren’t for RHFH, maybe I could have still gone to school, yes—but I wouldn’t have received a proper education. Because they enrolled us in school and gave us lessons after school. Even though RHFH always supported us, they gave me something I truly needed—love. Thanks to their love and guidance—and by the grace of God—I can say I am where I am today. They never let us go hungry, never let us walk around dirty, and thanks to them, my dignity is intact.
And despite all the challenges, they have remained committed to the same work and continue to sow hope in the hearts of all the children of Cazale. I just want to say thank you so much for your love, generosity, and the attention you gave to me and my whole family. It’s something I will never forget. You are always in my heart.
