We need help getting beds for the foster children

For many of us, having a bed is something we don’t think twice about. It’s simply part of our daily routine — a place to rest, recharge, and find comfort at the end of the day. But for many children in our foster care program, a bed of their own is something they’ve never known.

Some have spent their lives sleeping on the floor, on thin mats, or on blankets spread over hard surfaces. Others have shared overcrowded sleeping spaces or never had a consistent place to rest. A real bed — with a supportive mattress and a sturdy frame — can mean more than just better sleep. It can bring a sense of stability, comfort, and belonging.

Our hope is that when a child joins one of our families, they are not just given food, shelter, and care — but also a deep sense of belonging. That begins with something as simple and powerful as a bed of their own. Not a shared corner on the floor or a spot squeezed in with others, but a personal space that says: you matter, and you belong here.

While it’s common in many families for siblings to share a bed, we want to go a step further for these children. We want each child to feel seen and valued, to have a space to call their own, even if it’s just one twin-sized bed in a shared room.

A bed may seem small, but to a child who has known abandonment or instability, it can represent so much more — a fresh start, a step toward healing, and the comfort of being home.

We’re inviting you to be part of that transformation.

For $300, we can provide one child with a metal bed frame and a twin mattress — a simple, lasting gift that brings both physical comfort and emotional reassurance.

Your donation won’t just purchase a bed. It will give a child the chance to sleep soundly, safely, and with dignity. It will help them wake up each morning with a renewed sense of stability and hope — knowing they are part of a family that loves and welcomes them.

Thank you for considering how you might help us create a home where every child has their rightful place — and their own bed to rest in at night.
