I’ve been working with Real Hope for Haiti since 2024. I’m 23 years old and live at home in Cazale with my parents, two brothers, and one sister. I enjoy my work, especially when I get to care for children and teach families about good nutrition and how to care for their little ones.
Most of my days are spent at the clinic, helping in many different ways. When I arrive in the morning, I help organize patient charts, deliver them to the medical staff, and carry them to the lab when needed. I also assist Nurse Carolle with pediatric patients—writing information on charts, giving health education to parents, and helping retrieve medications from the pharmacy.
Part of my job is also documenting stories. I take photos throughout the day, talk with patients, and collect their testimonies to share. I help bag medications, distribute food, and prepare packets of medika mamba (a fortified peanut paste used to treat malnutrition).
I find this work rewarding. It has helped me support myself and contribute to my family’s needs, including helping cover school fees for one of my siblings. I’m thankful for that.
Cazale is a good place to live. There’s always fresh fruit around and water is available. I appreciate the peace of the area and the kindness of the people. RHFH plays a big role here—so many people rely on their care when they’re sick or struggling. It’s a privilege to be a part of that.
I’m a Christian and attend the local Catholic church. If you are willing, please pray for my family and me—that we would have good health and continue to live well.
