Fednor is a bright and kind 7-year-old boy who has faced more hardship than any child should. After losing his mother, he lived with his father, stepmother, and siblings. Sadly, while his father worked long hours in the fields, Fednor was neglected and mistreated at home. Malnutrition became a recurring battle, and he was admitted to the nutrition center three different times. At seven years old, his small, frail body looked more like that of a 3-year-old.
Each time he was admitted, our staff cared for him with medicine, therapeutic foods, and, just as importantly, love and attention. They played with him, comforted him, and showed him he was valued. During his third admission, Fednor arrived with severe swelling, diarrhea, and fever. With proper treatment—including therapeutic milk, medication, and specialized nutrition—his condition improved, and his joyful spirit began to shine again.
As he grew stronger, one of our staff members, deeply touched by his story, chose to care for him. His father agreed, wanting his son to have the opportunity for a better life. Today, Fednor is thriving. He has gained weight, is preparing for school, and is surrounded by the love and security every child deserves.
Fednor’s journey is a powerful reminder that healing is not just about food and medicine—it is about compassion, dignity, and the hope of a brighter future.
