Staff Spotlight-Tibert

My name is Tibert, and I am the father of three children—two boys and one girl. Today I live in Cazale with my wife and one of our children. We stay in a house that is rented by GVADK, where we help watch over the land and make sure everything in the yard runs well.

I also work in the tree nursery. Each day I mix soil with sand and manure, then fill sacks and buckets where the young trees will grow. It is simple work, but it is important. These small trees will one day help the land and the community.

The work I do allows me to care for my family and buy food for our household each month.

I was not born or raised in Cazale. My family once lived in another area, but insecurity forced us to leave our home. We could not stay there any longer, so we came to Cazale to begin again and try to rebuild our lives.

I am thankful to work with Real Hope for Haiti because I see how they help many people in this community. Their work brings something positive to the area.

Working with the soil, trees, and garden gives me hope. I know that what we are planting today will help the community tomorrow, and that gives me the strength to keep moving forward.
