Every day in Cazale, Haiti, a small but dedicated team shows up. They open the clinic doors, prepare the food, dispense the medications, and care for the sick, the malnourished, and the forgotten. What makes this possible? It takes more than you might think and it especially takes God using you.
The Matching Challenge
This April, every gift made to Real Hope for Haiti will be matched dollar for dollar up to $50,000. That means your $50 becomes $100. Your $250 becomes $500. We have a goal of raising $100,000 this month to keep the doors open and the work going.
What Does “What It Takes” Mean?
Running a clinic and care ministry in rural Haiti isn’t simple. It is nitty-gritty. And it doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a long list of things that rarely make it into a newsletter. This April, we want to pull back the curtain and show you what your support actually makes possible.
Throughout the month of April, we’ll be sharing what it really takes:
> What it takes to save a malnourished child – sourcing Medika Mamba, buying beans and corn and millet to make AK-1000 food supplements, and getting it all to the children who need it most.
> What it takes to care for someone with a chronic illness – showing up consistently, month after month, for patients who have nowhere else to turn.
> What it takes to support an abandoned child – from the moment a child arrives to finding them a safe and loving home.
> What it takes to advance the Kingdom of God – the spiritual heartbeat behind everything we do.
> What it takes for this work to continue – the team, the supplies, the logistics, and the ordinary necessities that keep Real Hope for Haiti operating every single day.
Where Your Money Goes
When you give to our general fund, you are funding the real, everyday cost of this work.
That includes: Getting medications from pharmacies to the clinic. Buying and preparing food to feed those in our care. Keeping inventory stocked. Salaries for the medical professionals and nannies caring for our patients and our children. Helping patients access surgeries they can’t afford. Figuring out how to get needed supplies all the way to Cazale. Even doing the laundry.
None of it is extraordinary. All of it is essential.
Our Team
The people doing this work every day are Haitians – nannies, doctors, cooks, nurses, office workers, and even a physical therapist finishing her training and hopefully joining our team this year. They grew up here. They chose to stay. They are not outsiders coming in to help. They are neighbors serving neighbors, professionals investing in their own community.
What it takes is people like them. And what keeps them here is God using people like you.
How to Give
Make a gift at any amount before April 30th and it will be matched dollar for dollar up to our $50,000 matching challenge. Every dollar counts. Every gift moves us closer to making sure this work continues.
