Staff Spotlight-Chrislene

My name is Chrislene, and I have been working at Real Hope for Haiti since January 2024. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve my community through the work we do every day.

I grew up with five sisters and no brothers. Sadly, my parents passed away when I was young, and I helped raise my sisters. That experience taught me responsibility, strength, and compassion from an early age. Today, I am married and have a son of my own. I live in a rented home with my husband and son, while my sisters live nearby in the same yard.

Working at RHFH is a blessing in my life. RHFH also supported me by helping pay for my pharmacy education, giving me the opportunity to gain skills and prepare for this important role. Because of that support, I am able to use my training to serve the people in my community.

I work in the pharmacy at the clinic, where I prepare medications for doctors, nurses, and patients. I also manage inventory and organize the medicines on the shelves so that everything is ready when it is needed. I love this work because I see how RHFH helps so many people. When community members are sick, they are able to receive the medicines and care they need.

One story that has stayed with me happened during a very difficult month when our medication supply was very low. We were struggling to find the medicines needed to care for patients. Then, unexpectedly, an organization came and donated an entire truckload of medications. Seeing this happen was very special. It felt like a miracle and reminded me that God provides at the right time.

I enjoy living in Cazale. One of the biggest advantages of living here is having access to water, which is a great blessing for our families.

I am a Christian and attend the Nazarene Church. I ask for your prayers that I can continue to stay healthy, care for my family, and continue serving others through my work.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of RHFH and to help bring hope and healing to my community.
