FENDER
Fender’s dad left the mama when Fedner was a baby. Fedner’s mama wanted to find work so she could support herself and her kids. She left her mountain village and went into Port-au-Prince. She found a job working at someones house. It did not pay much, but it was something. She has two living children and one that died when it was a baby. She asked the person she was working for if she could bring her kids with her-they said no. So she split up the kids and sent them to two different houses to live with her family members. She has been sending money to care for her kids and buy food for them. She has not seen them for about 3 months. When she went to visit Fedner she found him very sick. He is 2 years old and weighs 17.5 pounds. What would you do in her situation? Fedner is currently on the medika mamba program.

JOSUE
His mama died about 1 month after he was born. He is currently 2 months old and weighs 6 pounds. He is an only child.

KEMBERLIE
Kemberlie is an only child of two young parents. Her mom dropped her off at the dad’s house when she was only a few months old. No one has seen her since. Dad gave Kemberlie to his mother to take care of. Grandma did not have enough food to fed her. Kemberlie become sick and malnourished. Dad and grandma came to clinic together with Kemberlie. She is currently 13 pounds and 18 months old. Kemberlie is currently on the medika mamba program.

DJIMY
Djimy’s mom and dad are both dead. They had one other child together that died. An aunt is taking care of Djimy but she has 8 kids of her own. He is in the beginning stages of kwashiorkor. Djimy is 1.5 years old and weighs 19 pounds. Djimy is currently on the medika mamba program.
