DARLINE
She is 4 years old and weighs 20 pounds. This is her first time with a mild case of kwashiorkor. She has already lost 2 pounds of “water weight” from the kwash. She is eating well and we expect a full recovery for her. She is currently on the medika mamba program.
DJOULY
He is 4 years old and weighed 29 pounds when admitted. He has a severe case of kwashiorkor. He has lost about 5 pounds of “water weight” so far and still has several pounds to go. He has been struggling this past week. He is finally beginning to eat a few bites of food each-day. He still is not to the point that I think he is going to live. Keep praying that he gets there. He is currently on the medika mamba program.
GERLINE
Gerline is 11 years old and weighs 26 pounds. She has 3 living siblings at home and 1 sibling that has died. She was simply starving. On her first week of the medika mamba program she gained 5 pounds. We expect a full recovery.

ROSE-LINDA & ROSELINE
These 2 twins girl lost their mama on the day they were born. She died from blood loss. She deliver at home on a dirt floor and was around 6 hours away from the nearest hospital. She did not have a chance. The girls came in a 5 pounds a piece. There are 5 other siblings at home. One other sibling died of a fever several years ago. Wish you could see how thankful the papa is that there is a place willing to care for his girls until he can. Keeping families together~when possible~that is what we can offer.

DARLENS

Bed count tonight is 67 children and 1 adult. I have not been this low in a very long time. We have sent so many kids back to their families this past month. It is a good thing. Now we just have to pray that they will be cared for and fed. There are 2 kids that went home that have been here for 3 years. (Emmanuel & Rose-Manie) We have 2 others on the list to go in the next coming weeks that have been here for years. (Milliene & Clemene).
Next Monday a youth group from Christian Aid Ministries will be coming out for a day to paint the whole rescue center. We are excited fro this extra help.
Don’t forget to read the post below about the upcoming semi container. There has been $320.oo donated so far!!
