Djouly died yesterday evening. He had been hanging on for several days. He was in a lot of pain most of the day yesterday. He took his evening meds and ate dinner died shortly after.
Miriana is not doing well. She wants to live so badly. Her diar is clearing up some. But she just is getting worse. Her dad visited her today and did not stay long. He told me he has no hope for her now. She is unable to hear now or stand.
We are trying to get her to eat. She eats a little bit at each meal, but not enough. Her mouth is full of raw sores and it hurts to eat. We bought some sport shakes today and she really like them. We are hoping that she will continue to drink them and begin to gain some weight.
Rose-Marie has made a lot of progress since Monday. She is off of oxygen and can walk a short distance without help from her mom. As always, once we get to know the patients we learn more and more about their story. It is not a happy or good one that she has. There is the father of the kids that is trying to get back in the picture and causing her a lot of problems. Abuse happens in every country and it is hard to see there is a light at the end on the tunnel. We are doing our best to show her love and give her support and let her know of God love for her. She has a lot of choices to make in the next few months. We are thankful that she is feeling better and is beginning to have hope that she might live.
Odalie on the right has been with us for several months now. She will be returning home sometime this month. She has been a great encouragement to Rose-Marie and her mom. They have a lot of good times talking.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
