***Just to pique your interest for tomorrow’s devotional post, there will be a reference to Super Mario Brothers’ Warp Zones.

We are going old school (so old school that “power” doesn’t even have an “e”) with a classic hymn….enjoy

  1. Would you be free from the burden of sin?
    There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
    Would you o’er evil a victory win?
    There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

    • Refrain:
      There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
      In the blood of the Lamb;
      There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
      In the precious blood of the Lamb.
  2. Would you be free from your passion and pride?
    There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
    Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;
    There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.
  3. Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
    There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
    Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow;
    There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.
  4. Would you do service for Jesus your King?
    There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
    Would you live daily His praises to sing?
    There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

    Thanks so much for sharing. This is one of the most powerful songs! It was the school’s song for the Bible College that I attended. Always brings back wonderful memories to hear this song.

    Traveling to Haiti to help the town of Thoman…Pastor asked us to play some Hymns. I wonder if they would like the Gospel Bluegrass version of this song….

    I’m not sure. I would ask the Pastor, but I would lean towards keeping it in the traditional version just so there isn’t confusion. Maybe try to other version afterwards.
