Chidley died after an extended illness. He was sick for many weeks with his mother before she brought him to RHFH. His mother came to visit him often. She bathed him, feed him and loved him. Her first son. She will never forget him. She did not have the funds to bury him. She was going to go into debt to pay for a casket and someone to dig a hole. Two readers on the blog responded and gave to this need. She was very, very thankful.
I asked her to come see us when she felt like she could. She came today. I gave her the rest of the funds that were not used for the burial. It will feed her 4 other children for several weeks. She smiled and thanked God when I told her of the love offering given in memory of her son. She finds it hard to understand that people that do not even know her would pray for her and her son. That they would have time to think about her and her needs. She was very encouraged. She said to tell each of you thank you for the prayers, and that God knows best even when people are sick and do not recover, God knows. Say an extra prayer for Siamene and her 4 children that are still mourning the loss in their family. Thank you!
Colossians 3:15
15-17Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way
