After a long struggle to live, Miriana went to be with Jesus yesterday afternoon. We have a deep sorrow in our hearts that this sweet, precious little girl did not make it and survive. But we have hope knowing that one day we will see her again. I see her running in a field of flowers with no more pain, no more suffering, no more tears, running right along side my mama who is taking care of her.
Ask to Mother Teresa-At times there isn’t much you do or can do for the dying is there?
Her answer-We can, at least, leave them with the impression of something important: that there are people willing to truly love them, because the dying are also children of God, and deserve to be loved as much or maybe more than anyone else.

She loved stickers, especially the sheet of hearts, flowers and peace sign stickers. One day after I put a heart sticker on her dress, she carefully selected a sticker for each of her caregivers, the volunteers, and for Licia. I can still see her smile as we wore our stickers proudly. It’s her beautiful smile I will remember. She truly blessed my life.
