With love….from Canada

Christian ladies from the Gospel Hall in Pugwash Jct. and Port Howe, Nova Scotia have made approximately 70 layettes for the mothers of newborns that come to the clinic.  They met every Wednesday for 2 hours since March to make diapers, put together the kits, etc.  A few of them did a lot of sewing at home as well.  Some of the ladies have been very busy crocheting blankets and knitting bonnets and booties.  Other friends have heard about our project and donated clothing, blankets, etc.

There have so many people that have pitched in to help with this blessing for the babies and their mothers.

The layette include blankets, clothes, diapers, hygiene items, toy, and more.

They are sad to see this project end for now, but are looking forward to starting again in the fall.  Some ladies plan to collect and sew during the summer so they have a head start.

Due to high customs cost of bringing these items across the Canadian-US boarder, it is not cost effective for us to put these on the container.  We would prefer to use people that might be coming to Haiti from Canada that could bring in an extra bag.  We received these layettes above because a lovely lady named Hope and her team (Thanks gals!) helped by carrying them in.  There are still several suitcases ready to fly down to these precious babies.  If this interests you, please leave a comment below or email info@realhopeforhaiti.org and we’ll get back to you with details.

SO love this idea, & all the effort that went it to it!
I also LOVE your Cazale dads. What amazing, amazing men. I’ve told God that if his plan for me is marriage, He needs to let me spend some time in Cazale. Ha.
